Young cricketers gain experience

AN Under 13 Derwent Valley representative cricket team recently played four matches over two days against five other Under 13 teams from southern Tasmania. The local team was selected from the Gretna, Molesworth and New Norfolk clubs. Although they didn’t win a game, the team came very close on most occasions. The experience will hold them in good stead for the future.

The players and parents would like to thank their coach Darren Stevenson for all the time and effort he put in right from the trials through to the matches. Thanks also to Bruce Emery and Stewart Rice for helping out during the matches. Well done team, you have once again done the Valley proud.
