Television drama filming in New Norfolk

THERE will be a lot of local location spotting going on when the Foxtel television drama The Kettering Incident screens on pay-tv next year. While primarily set in the Channel region, filming has also been taking place in the Derwent Valley.

Part of the privately-owned sector of Willow Court was brightly illuminated tonight for filming in the area of Olga House and the old mortuary. Scenes have also been shot at Sorell Creek and it is understood further filming is yet to occur in New Norfolk. Westerway and Maydena may also be featured.

Foxtel has commissioned the eight episode mystery series from Porchlight Films and Sweet Potato Films, with funding from the Tasmanian Government and Screen Australia, and distribution through BBC Worldwide. The Kettering Incident is described as a bold and compelling story  being filmed in stunning Tasmanian locations.

The story of The Kettering Incident begins as Doctor Anna Macy (played by Elizabeth Debicki) finds herself inexplicably linked to the cases of two girls who have mysteriously disappeared in identical circumstances in Tasmania 15 years apart.

Australia’s favourite leading man, Matthew Le Nevez, Le Nevez plays a police detective described as a manipulative and dangerous antagonist.
