Good Friday on the square

MEMBERS of several local churches will converge on New Norfolk’s Arthur Square tomorrow morning for a combined Good Friday service which will be open to the community.

Reverend Celia Hooker said the churches would be holding their regular Good Friday services earlier in the morning, and would then move to Arthur Square for an open-air gathering. This will be held near the central fountain at 11am.

The short service will feature speakers from several churches and two pieces of music performed by local guitarists. Afterwards, at about 11.20am, a morning tea of hot drinks and hot cross buns will be provided in the St Matthew’s Anglican Church Hall, across the road in Bathurst St. All welcome.
