Note: This Flood Watch is a “heads up” for possible future flooding and is NOT a Flood Warning.

Final Flood Watch for the Derwent

Issued at 10:48 am on Friday 26 July 2019

By the Bureau of Meteorology, Hobart.


Flood Watch Number: 5

No further flooding is expected in the Derwent River catchment.

A series of fronts have crossed the state in the past few days. Conditions have now eased statewide.

There is no significant rainfall forecast for the Flood Watch area during Friday or Saturday.

Strong and dangerous flows will continue to be a hazard over the next couple of days.


Catchments no longer at risk include: Derwent River.
