Flood Watch for the Derwent

Flood Watch Number: 4
Isolated minor flooding may develop during Thursday and into Friday in the Derwent River catchment.
A series of fronts will cross the state in coming days, bringing showers to the west and north of the state.
Some catchments are saturated from recent rainfall and are likely to be highly responsive to further rain. Dams are spilling across the state.
Rainfall totals of 5-10 mm are forecast in parts of the flood watch area for the remainder of Thursday, while a further 5-10 mm are forecast for Friday.
River rises are likely and isolated minor flooding may develop as a result of the forecast rainfall.
Further catchment specific warnings will be issued if and when required.

No further flooding is expected in the North Esk and Meander River catchments.
