Crusader Homes is king of the castle

LOCAL business Crusader Homes has another trophy to add to its collection after being named Small Employer of the Year at the Tasmanian Training Awards last night.

Recently accredited as an Employer of Choice, this is the second time the family-owned business has been named Small Employer of the Year, having won the same title in 2017.

The firm received a trophy at the awards presentation at Wrest Point Convention Centre last night and will be nominated for the  Australian Training Awards.

In June the business was recognised as one of 13 new “Employers of Choice”. The annual Employer of Choice Awards celebrate Tasmanian organisations that demonstrate contemporary workplace practices and outstanding support for their staff.  “Employer of Choice accreditation is a highly sought-after and recognised tick of approval among our business, community and service sectors, as judged by the business community itself,” deputy premier Jeremy Rockliff said at the time.

Operating in Tasmania since 2005, Crusader Homes was a finalist in the 2018 Telstra Tasmanian Business Awards and has been named as a finalist again this year. As well as building houses, Crusader Homes is also developing the New Norfolk Distillery at Willow Court.
