Molesworth Fire Station open day

MOLESWORTH Fire Brigade is one of the volunteer brigades in the Hobart district which will throw open their fire station doors to visitors this Sunday.

Members of the public are invited to come along to meet their local brigade members, enjoy a sausage sizzle and talk with Tasmania Fire Service volunteers about how to make sure you’re prepared for the bushfire season.

This Sunday’s open days will be between 11am and 3pm at Molesworth and Collinsvale fire stations in the Derwent Valley, as well as Claremont, Bridgewater, Old Beach, Risdon Vale, Taroona, Lenah Valley, Fern Tree, Cambridge, Wellington, Lauderdale, Sandford, Seven Mile Beach, South Arm, Mt Nelson and Rokeby.

Landowers and residents are invited to come along and meet their local brigade members who are aware of the risks and hazards within their area and can provide advice on “Prepare Act Survive” initiatives and bushfire preparation and prevention.

Molesworth Fire Station is located at the Molesworth Recreation Ground, 560 Molesworth Rd, Molesworth.
