Charges follow bottleshop incident

A MAN will face court in November following an alleged incident of multiple car damage at New Norfolk on Saturday night. “Police have charged a 28-year-old male with one count of dangerous driving following investigations,” Acting Sergeant Skye Carey said.

Acting Sergeant Carey said investigations were continuing in relation to alleged assaults and asked for any witnesses to contact police on 131 444 or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police on Saturday night responded to reports of damage to five cars in the car park at the BWS bottleshop in Stephen St, New Norfolk. Police arrested a man at the scene, who received medical attention on site before being taken to hospital, from where he was later released.

“No other people were injured as a result of this incident as the other vehicles involved were stationary at the time,” Acting Sergeant Carey said.
