A BRAND new newspaper for the Derwent Valley will be published for the first time tomorrow (Friday). The first issue of a monthly print edition of the New Norfolk News will be delivered to New Norfolk homes and distributed via shops throughout the wider valley.
The New Norfolk Newsagency’s delivery team will have the paper on front lawns throughout the town first thing in the morning. The first issue is free and additional copies will be available at the newsagency and other shops for anyone who misses out.
Residents of other Derwent Valley towns will be able to collect a free copy from their local newsagency and the first issue will also be available for free downloading from newnorfolknews.com.
The first issue of the New Norfolk and Derwent Valley News has 28 pages full of truly local news from all over the Derwent Valley, including Ouse, Granton and Maydena as well as New Norfolk. It is proudly printed on paper made locally at the Boyer mill.
The newspaper will be an extension of the New Norfolk News website which has been a free online service since 2008. The website will continue as a free service and future issues of the newspaper will be priced at $2, including exclusive features not available on the website.
