A BYSTANDER suffered a minor injury while helping to subdue a man involved in an altercation at the New Norfolk Caravan Park earlier today (Monday). In a statement last this morning, police said a 58-year-old man was in custody and assisting police with their inquiries.
Police were called to the caravan park after the man, allegedly in possession of three small paring knives, was involved in an altercation with another man at about 9.15am. “Members of the public disarmed the man prior to police arrival,” a police spokesman said. “One of the members of the public sustained a minor injury to one of his fingers. No medical treatment was required.”
