MORE than 130 stalls are expected to fill High St this Saturday, December 19, for the Christmas edition of the Banjo’s New Norfolk Market, which will also be the final market for the year.
The event, running from 8am until 2pm, will include the second week of a trial extension of the market into part of Charles St, where food, beverage and produce stalls will be concentrated. To accommodate this partial closure of Charles St north of Leatham St, disability parking spaces will be provided closer to the library in Charles St.
Organiser Jessica Cosgrove said in addition to the usual attractions there would also be musical and children’s entertainment, Christmas carols and a visit by Santa. This will be the final market for the year, with the next being held on January 2.
“This will also be our last market event of the year so don’t miss out, we guarantee you will have a magical and joyful day,” Ms Cosgrove said.
