Bushfire on Plenty Link Road

3PM UPDATE: Management of the one-hectare fire at Plenty Link Rd has been handed over to the property owner, SFM Environmental Solutions, whose crews are on site and will continue to monitor for the remainder for the day and tomorrow. Temperature conditions have dropped.

The vegetation fire at Collins Cap Rd has been downgraded to “patrol” status and is being monitored at regular intervals.

EARLIER: WATERBOMBERS and ground crews have been tackling a bushfire in the area of Plenty Valley Link Rd and Lanes Rd near Moogara this morning. The fire was first reported just before 7am today, with multiple Tasmania Fire Service units at the scene soon after. More details about the fire can be found here. There are no alerts in relation to the fire as of 11am.

A vegetation fire on Collins Cap Rd between Molesworth and Collinsvale was reported at 11am today, with two light tankers and two medium tankers at the scene. This fire is also at “no alert” level. Click here for updates.

TFS crews yesterday spent several hours dealing with a vegetation fire near Hayes.

Today is a day of total fire ban.
