THE Central Highlands and Derwent Valley councils are both hosting events in celebration of Australia Day tomorrow.

At the Derwent Esplanade, New Norfolk
From 10am
- 10am Event begins – mayor’s welcome
- 10:15am: Singer Bridget Pross performs on the main stage
- 11am Derwent Valley Concert Band Community Winds perform on main stage
From 11.30am – Official Proceedings, main stage
- Acknowledgement of Country
- Australia Day Ambassador Bill Lark
- Flag-raising ceremony
- National Anthem
12.15pm – Singer Bridget Pross performs on the main stage
1pm – Official Proceedings resume, main stage
- Australia Day Awards presentation
1.30pm – Colour Walk
2pm – Event finishes
| At the New Norfolk Swimming Pool (Esplanade, Page Avenue):
- From 10am: Free entry, treasure hunt (1-2pm)
| At the Bushy Park Swimming Pool (Gordon River Rd, Glenora):
- From 10am: Free entry and activities, sausage sizzle
| At Maydena:
- 10am: Assemble at playground for walk/run/ride to Junee Cave and return
- Followed by free barbecue lunch at the park
| At Ouse:
- 11am: Presentation of Australia Day Awards at Ouse Country Club, followed by refreshments
