A FREE concert originally scheduled for New Norfolk’s town centre tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) has been relocated to The Valley Sports Bar due to forecast heavy rain. The Valley Sports Bar (former New Norfolk District Football Clubrooms) is located at 21 Back River Rd.
The performance by rock tribute band Australian Made (pictured) is being presented by the property developers Noble Ventures. Originally scheduled for Arthur Square and then relocated to the Circle St lawns, the weather forecast has now caused a move indoors. An all-ages event, the concert will run from 2.30-4pm.
Noble Ventures director Daniel Noble said the free concert was a way of saying thanks to the Derwent Valley community for the welcome The Mills project had received since launching last year. “We have been completely humbled by how welcoming and receptive the New Norfolk community has been at such an early stage of the project’s lifespan,” Mr Noble said.
Mr Noble said The Mills had been overwhelmed by the interest show, with 65 per cent of the initial release of 22 residential lots already sold. “We are now looking to bring forward the release of future house stages to ensure there will be enough available to meet demand,” he said.
