Gallery: Fireworks light up a cold winter’s night

GLEN Derwent has tonight put on a stunning fireworks show for New Norfolk and surrounds. While the heritage home’s cracker night festivities were a ticketed event for about 1000 paying guests, the fireworks display was seen from far and wide, with onlookers seeking out vantage points around the town. The event was supported by the Tasmanian Government through Events Tasmania. See the gallery below.

Meanwhile, smaller fireworks displays have illuminated isolated sections of the sky over New Norfolk before and after the Glen Derwent event, as people stage their own Cracker Night celebrations around the town and district. Readers are welcome to send their own photos to photos@newnorfolknews.com.

  1. We enjoyed the evening and the fire works. Food was great but a couple more food vans would be nice. The rubbish bins were hard to find and see in the dark. Perhaps a couple more bins would be great
