Thieves repeatedly hit New Norfolk Golf Club

THE New Norfolk Golf Club is hoping that the community can provide information to assist with identifying the people responsible for unsolved crimes. In particular, the club has experienced a number of break-ins at its machinery shed in recent months.

Items that have been stolen include a number of brush-cutters, line-trimmers, leaf-blowers and a chainsaw. All of these were marked as belonging to New Norfolk Golf Club. Solar panels have also been stolen from the machinery shed’s roof.

The club would like to hear from anyone who has been offered gardening equipment, especially Honda branded gear, or solar panels, or has any information that may lead to the items being recovered. Contact the club on 6261 2653 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.

“The New Norfolk Golf Club is a not-for-profit community sporting club and this type of criminal activity makes it hard on the club financially, having to replace the stolen items, so if you know anything please report it,” a spokesman said.
