POLICE say two men, a woman and a youth are facing charges following the recovery of a significant amount of stolen property linked to burglaries in the Derwent Valley last week.
“Over the recent June long weekend, members from Tasmania Police have recovered a significant amount of stolen property from several residences in the northern suburbs, Risdon Vale and Maydena,” Detective Senior Constable Paul Smith said.
“Property recovered consisted of high-end mountain bikes, helmets, tools, and snowboard equipment. The property recovered is valued in excess of $75,000 and has been linked to burglaries in the Derwent Valley that were committed in the past week.”
Senior Constable Smith said a 25-year-old man, 23-year-old man, 21-year-old woman and a youth were facing charges including aggravated burglary, stealing, and receiving stolen property as a result of the searches that were conducted.
Investigations are continuing and police are seeking public assistance to locate a stolen KTM 350 motocross bike similar to the one pictured.
