A MAN and a child were injured on Sunday when an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is reported to have collided with a parked vehicle. Inspector Gavin Hallett of Tasmania Police said the incident had occurred on private property off Ellendale Rd at Ellendale.
“At about 12.30pm, police including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter responded to an incident involving an ATV crash on a private property at Ellendale in the Derwent Valley,” Inspector Hallett said. “The ATV reportedly hit a parked vehicle and two people suffered non-life threatening injuries.”
Inspector Hallett said the 23-year-old male rider had been taken to hospital by road ambulance and the four-year-old male pillion passenger had been flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital. He said the rider and the passenger were reported to have been wearing helmets.
