Flood Watch for Huon, Derwent, North West, North and North East catchments

Minor flooding may develop this week, from Wednesday. Most catchments are relatively wet to saturated and rivers will be responsive to additional rainfall.
Forecast 4-day rainfall totals through to Saturday morning: 60-90 mm in the west and north, with falls of 100 to 140 mm possible about the Western Tiers and 90-120 mm about the northeast highlands.
Strong river rises are expected this week in flood watch catchments. Widespread minor flooding is possible, from Wednesday. Additional catchment specific warnings will be issued if and when required. Catchments likely to be affected include:
- North Esk River
- South Esk River
- Meander River
- Macquarie River
- Ringarooma River
- North Coastal Rivers
- Mersey River
- Forth River
- Northwest and Central Coastal Rivers
- Arthur River
- Huon River
- Derwent River
