Rosehaven’s final go-around starts tonight

THE television show that put New Norfolk on the map is about to roll out its final season, starting tonight. Filmed in the Derwent Valley and other southern Tasmanian locations last summer, the popular ABC-TV comedy Rosehaven has just eight episodes left to show.

Written by and starring Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola, Rosehaven has followed the story of friends and unlikely real estate agents, Daniel (McGregor) and Emma (Pacquola). “It is very sad to say goodbye to our little town and its inhabitants after 40 episodes but I’m so proud of our final season and grateful that we were able to finish things the way we always wanted to,” co-creator Celia Pacquola said.

The final season of Rosehaven airs on Wednesdays at 9pm from tonight (August 4) on ABC-TV and ABC iview. Let the local location-spotting begin!

  1. What an exciting time back in October 2016… enter Rosehaven, an Australian television comedy series. Created and written by Celia Pacquola and Luke McGregor, set in rural Tasmania and revolving around two pals with big plans who find their friendship and sanity put to the test by the eccentric townsfolk of Rosehaven.

I believe stretching out the relationship to incorporate the real true-life friendship of the two creators is what eventually captured the smart and thought-provoking entertainment.

Since its launch in 1996, Sundance TV has remained true to the founder Robert Redford’s mission to celebrate creativity and distinctive storytelling through unique voices and narratives. On September 27, 2017, Sundance TV premiered Rosehaven season one with back-to-back episodes. After its linear run, Rosehaven was streamed on Sundance in the US and Canada.

There are an average of 500,000 fans that will share with Celia that “It is very sad to say goodbye to our little town and the inhabitants after 40 episodes…”
