Initial Flood Watch for Huon and Derwent catchments

Flood Watch Number 1: Isolated Minor flooding possible from Thursday afternoon.
A vigorous cold front will cross Tasmania on Thursday. Catchments in the flood watch area are wet. Widespread 20-40 mm is expected during Thursday, with heavier falls possible about western ranges. Rivers are expected to be responsive to forecast rainfall. Isolated minor flooding may develop from Thursday afternoon.
Catchments likely to be affected include:Huon River Channel Coastal Rivers (South East Cape to Gordon)
Derwent River (Including lower Derwent tributaries such as Tyenna and Styx.)
