Flood Watch for Huon and Derwent catchments

Isolated minor flooding possible from Thursday afternoon. A vigorous cold front is crossing Tasmania on Thursday. Catchments in the flood watch area are wet.
In the 24 hours to 9 am Thursday 5-10 mm of rainfall were recorded across the flood watch catchments. Totals of 5-25 mm have been recorded since 9 am Thursday, mostly in western and southern elevated areas, with a further 5-15 mm forecast for the remainder of Thursday.
Rivers are responding to observed rainfall. Isolated minor flooding is possible at some locations from Thursday afternoon.
Catchments likely to be affected include: Huon River, Channel Coastal Rivers (South East Cape to Gordon)
Derwent River(Including lower Derwent tributaries such as Tyenna and Styx.)
