POLICE are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of young man from Glenfern early this morning (Sunday). Bridgewater Police say an 18-year-old died at the scene near Wayatinah and a 25-year-old from Hamilton was taken to hospital.
“At approximately 3.15am on Sunday, 31 October 2021, police and emergency services arrived at the scene of a fatal crash involving a Polaris four-wheeler side-by-side all-terrain vehicle,” police said in a statement. “The scene of the crash was on a gravel road, Father of Marshes Rd, off Catagunya Rd, Wayatinah.
“Sadly an 18-year-old male from Glenfern who was the passenger in the ATV has died. The 25-year-old male driver from Hamilton was also taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries. Preliminary investigations reveal that both the driver and the passenger were wearing seat belts,” police said.
