Derwent Valley road weather alert and sheep graziers warning

Road Weather Alert for Tasmania
for the Upper Derwent Valley, Central Plateau, Western and South East forecast districts

Issued at 10:01pm on Sunday 14 November 2021.

Snow covered roads will make driving conditions dangerous during Sunday and Monday in parts of the Western, Central Plateau, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts.

For information on any road closures, please contact your local council or the Police. The next alert will be issued by 5am Monday.

Warning to Sheep Graziers
for the Upper Derwent Valley, South East, King Island, Furneaux Islands, North West Coast, Central North, North East, Midlands and East Coast forecast districts

Issued at 10pm on Sunday 14 November 2021.

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and strong southwesterly winds are expected during Sunday and Monday. Areas likely to be affected include the King Island, Furneaux Islands, North West Coast, Central North, North East, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

The next warning will be issued by 5am Monday.
