Family Funfair postponed due to rain

WITH rain forecast at New Norfolk until next Tuesday, the organisers of the New Norfolk Family Funfair have postponed this weekend’s event for one week. Tickets will be automatically transferred to the same time next week, but refunds and date changes can be arranged online.

The travelling Family Fun Fair was established last year when the state’s agricultural shows were cancelled due to the pandemic. For tickets, look up New Norfolk Family Fun Fair on Facebook or eventbrite.com.

The funfair will now be held on the Esplanade at New Norfolk from November 19-21, offering rides, showbags and show food. Six three-hour sessions will be held over the three days, with entry costing $2.50 per person.

The organisers say anyone who has already received their tickets will be able to use them for the same session next week. “For example, the Friday the 12th 5pm session will be vaild for Friday the 19th 5pm session,” they said. Refunds and date changes can also be organised.

“You can opt for a full refund through eventbrite if required. Please request a refund through the ‘manage’ button on your email. This also needs to be done if you require a different session time than you previously had. We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience. Please message our Facebook page if you have any queries.”

For anyone wanting to buy showbags this week, Showbag World has set up in the car park at The Valley Sports Bar (former football clubrooms) on Back River Rd at New Norfolk. They were open today (Tuesday) and will also be available from 10am-4pm tomorrow (Wednesday) only. There is a big selection of Cadbury showbags among others.
