A WAITING list has been established for a free workshop for mentors in violence prevention which is being held at New Norfolk this week. The session is fully-booked but there is a waiting list in the event of any cancellations.
The five-hour session will be held at the Ptunarra Child and Family Centre, in Blair St, New Norfolk, this Tuesday. The workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to gain skills about how people react to bullying and violence, and how to respond to attitudes and beliefs that underpin gender-based violence, bullying and other forms of behaviour.
The workshops are funded through the Tasmanian Community Fund and delivered by facilitators from the Hobart Women’s Shelter, Women’s Legal Tasmania, Women’s Health Tasmania and Engender Equality. Join the waiting list online at www.trybooking.com/BUGWT or phone Margie on 6231 3212.
