POLICE have charged a man with causing grievous bodily harm following an investigation into a serious assault in New Norfolk last month. Detective Constable Anthony Marr said the victim and alleged assailant were known to each other.
“On October 19, Ambulance Tasmania members located a man unresponsive on Andrews St,” Detective Constable Marr said. “He had suffered a number of significant head injuries including a substantial laceration to his ear, in addition to multiple injuries to his face and skull. He has since been discharged from the Royal Hobart Hospital.”
“Police have charged a 44-year-old man with causing grievous bodily harm,” Det-Const Marr said. “The two men were known to each other and police will allege the incident was targeted.”
