ANOTHER pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be held in the Community Health Centre downstairs at the New Norfolk District Hospital tomorrow (Saturday). Access is via the lower-ground floor entry.
Anyone over the age of 12 who wants to be vaccinated will be able to walk in, with no booking required. The clinic is offering first, second, third or booster doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Click here for more information about boosters and third doses.
The Tasmanian Government says that if you haven’t yet been vaccinated, now is the time. “When Tasmania opens its borders on December 15 we know coronavirus will come here. Don’t wait for coronavirus to arrive,” a spokesperson said.
“One dose of vaccine may not be enough to protect you from coronavirus and you will need to wait weeks for your second dose. Protect yourself and your family. Get vaccinated now. Vaccination is available to everyone 12 years or over, and 12-18 year-olds have the chance to enter the draw to win prizes including iPhones and iPads. Don’t wait. Vaccinate.”
The clinic will be open from 9am-5pm and will return to New Norfolk on January 24-25.
