Fire Weather Warning
for the Central North, Midlands and Upper Derwent Valley forecast districts

Issued at 3:54pm on Thursday 30 December 2021.

Weather Situation

Very High fire danger is forecast for the Central North, Midlands and Upper Derwent Valley districts during Friday, with northwesterly winds of 30 to 45 km/h, temperatures reaching the low thirties, and relative humidity lowering to 15 to 20%.

For Friday 31 December:

Very High Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast districts:
Central North, Midlands and Upper Derwent Valley

The Tasmania Fire Service advises you to:

  • Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
  • Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, www.fire.tas.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au.
  • Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.

The next warning will be issued by 5am Friday.
