Bushfire advice warning for Hollow Tree

THE Tasmania Fire Service has issued a bushfire advice message for Hollow Tree. There is no immediate threat. The fire is in the area of Green Valley Rd, travelling east towards the River Clyde. The TFS is attending. Conditions are expected to be changeable.

The fire was first reported just after 4pm today and as of 5.04pm the TFS has considerable resources at the scene including two heavy tankers, a medium tanker and a light tanker, as well as three helicopters. Further units are on the way. The fire is reported to be 25 hectares in size.

  • If you have a bushfire plan, check it now.
  • Well prepared homes are expected to be defendable in these conditions.
  • Monitor conditions, and if they get more dangerous, and you are not well prepared, plan to go to a safer place.
