In the News: Paying tribute to Colin Triffitt

ON the front page of the next issue of New Norfolk and Derwent Valley News we pay tribute to Colin Triffitt who has retired after many years as New Norfolk’s fire chief and we congratulate Mark Lusted on being elected to follow in Colin’s footsteps.

Colin has retired from the top job but remains a member of the New Norfolk Fire Brigade, where he will celebrate 50 years of membership next year. Mark has progressed through the ranks since joining as a junior in 1997 and both firefighters have been recognised with the awarding of the National Medal among other honours.
