THE price of petrol has dropped back below $2 mark at most New Norfolk outlets, following the Federal Government’s decision to halve the fuel excise for the next six months, effectively cutting the price of petrol by 22c per litre. After sitting above $2 for the last month, the price fell at four of New Norfolk’s petrol stations today, after last night’s federal budget announcement.
As of 9pm this evening, the price of regular unleaded fuel ranges from 194.9 cents per litre at Valley Fuel and Shell Coles Express on Hamilton Rd and Woolworths Caltex in High St, to 199.9 at Mood Food in Montagu St and 210.9 at United Petroleum in Burnett St.
