SIX candidates are already known to be contesting the seat of Lyons in the Federal Election which has been called for Saturday, May 21. Prime Minister Scott Morrison this morning asked the Governor-General to issue writs for a House of Representatives and half-Senate election. The following are the known candidates in Lyons:
- Brian Mitchell MHR, Australian Labor Party
- Susie Bower, Liberal Party
- Liz Johnstone, Australian Greens
- Troy Pfitzner, Jacqui Lambie Network
- Jason Evans, United Australia Party
- Emma Goyne, Pauline Hanson’s One Nation
Six candidates contested the last Federal Election in 2019, which saw Brian Mitchell retain the seat he first won in 2016. Any other intending candidates for Lyons in this year’s Federal Election are invited to send their details to damian@newnorfolknews.com
