Glenora Rd open again as rockwall work continues

GLENORA RD at Plenty has been reopened to through traffic as work continues to repair rockfall netting along the route. The Derwent Valley Council today (Thursday) announced that the work was progressing well and the complete road closure had ended.

While the work continues for the rest of the week, temporary traffic lights will be in place for single lane traffic during the day, and short delays will be experienced until the end of the week while the restoration of the rockfall netting is completed. The road will be full reopened again each night.

The council acknowledges that this has been inconvenient to some people and thanks everyone for their patience and understanding of the need for this closure. It suggests that any motorists wanting to avoid unexpected delays should continue to use the detour via the Lyell Highway.
