JESSICA Cosgrove has been deputy mayor of the Derwent Valley Council and is hoping to be returned in that position in next month’s local government elections. She has provided the following statement for publication.
“I have lived in the Derwent Valley my entire life, I’m currently your deputy mayor, I run a local tourism business which contributes significantly to the local economy, and I work in the community services industry. My passion for our community is what motivates me to advocate positively and work hard to make our region the best place to live, work, visit and invest.
“With my proven leadership I’ve demonstrated my commitment, professionalism, and that I am inclusive of all. It would be an honour and a privilege to continue representing our beautiful region as Deputy Mayor for another term.”
