Bounce into Banjo’s tomorrow morning to support Variety

A BIG morning is coming up at Banjo’s Bakery Cafe in New Norfolk tomorrow (December 15). To celebrate the store’s 10th anniversary in its current location and the completion of a full refurbishment, owner Robbie Iles invites everyone to a “re-opening fundraiser”. See the video.

Although the bakery has traded through its upgrade works, Mr Iles will stage an official “reveal” from 6-9am on December 15, to coincide with the 10th birthday at the 20 High St site, as well as raising funds for Variety – The Children’s Charity.

“We are aiming to raise $10,000 this time and really hope the community will get behind us as we look to smash our previous best fundraising tally of $7800,” he said. Mr Iles said it would be a great event, with radio station Triple M doing a live broadcast, and the Banjo’s New Norfolk Pie-Eating Contest making a return.

Variety TasBash cars will be on display and various Derwent Valley sporting groups will be represented. There will be a raffle, face painting and giveaways in store. Members of the public are invited to join in the fun and donate to Variety – The Children’s Charity.
