Christmas elves do their rounds

NEARLY 200 gift bags have been delivered to residents of two nursing homes as well as patients at the New Norfolk District Hospital thanks to the organising done by Carol and Lex Wilson and Helen Burns, and the donations of community members.

The trio started the tradition last year, in memory of Carol’s late mum, Beryl Burns, who had lived her last few years at Corumbene in New Norfolk. They collected donations of toiletries and other personal items and presented these to the recipients at Corumbene last Christmas. They repeated the effort this year and expanded to include Wellington View home at Old Beach.

Congratulations to Carol, Lex and Helen and thanks to all donors.
