Variety is the key as Banjo’s celebrates birthday

THE New Norfolk Banjo’s Bakery Cafe has long been a big supporter of Variety – The Children’s Charity so it was a natural fit to combine the store’s birthday and recent refresh with a charity fundraiser. It was all happening in the High St store early yesterday morning, with a Triple M radio broadcast, special guest Dave Noonan, and fundraising events including the return of the New Norfolk Pie Eating Contest and a fitness bike challenge.

The Molesworth Cricket Club was part of the fun, as were the New Norfolk Junior Football Club and the New Norfolk Soccer Club. The Banjo’s New Norfolk fundraiser remains open both in the store and online at variety.org.au/tas/ (click on “donate now” and type “Banjo’s” in the postal address box). Donations can also be made in the Banjo’s Bakery Cafe at Rosny.

Banjo’s New Norfolk and Rosny owner Robbie Iles presented a $3000 donation to Variety’s Mohammad Aldergham and thanked customers for their ongoing support.
