FOUR residents of the Derwent Valley municipality have been presented with local Australia Day Awards this morning (Thursday) outside the council chambers in New Norfolk.
Mayor Michelle Dracoulis announced the following award recipients:
- Young Citizen of the Year: Jamie Brown
- Citizen of the Year: Justin Benson
- Senior Citizen of the Year: Margaret Cranney
- Sportsperson of the Year: Tyler Benson
More to come. Australia Day activities will be held on the New Norfolk Esplanade today from 11.30am until 2pm. A colour run will be held at 1.45pm. All welcome.
