Three now charged over Granton death

TASMANIA Police have announced murder charges against a further two men in relation to the death of 26-year-old Nicholas Scott at Granton on January 3. In a statement, police said a 44-year-old Moonah man and a 21-year-old man from Collinsvale had both been charged with murder and would appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today. 

The police investigation is ongoing in relation to the murder of Mr Scott, who was alleged to have escaped custody while at the Royal Hobart Hospital. A police spokesperson said there was nothing further to report about the first man charged with murder, who was to have appeared in court last week.

Police ask anyone with information that would assist the investigation to contact Glenorchy CIB on 131 444 or report to crimestopperstas.com.au quoting reference number OR702473. Information can be provided anonymously.
