First details for Rotary Autumn Festival

THE Derwent Valley Rotary Club has announced the first details of its upcoming Autumn Festival, which is scheduled for April 23 on the New Norfolk Esplanade with a range of activities and attractions for all ages.

“Rotary’s Derwent Valley Autumn Festival will showcase local producers, and feature music, food stalls and a range of family-friendly activities,” club president Kylie Farrell said. “They’re will also be opportunities to speak to local tourism businesses and community groups.

“Derwent Valley Rotary thanks those supporting this event, including the Norske Skog, Hydro Tasmania, and the Derwent Valley Council for their support. Rotary is excited to revive this event, and we’re really grateful for the support we’ve received,” Ms Farrell said.

“The enthusiasm for a refreshed festival highlights just how missed this event is. We hope the Autumn Festival will be a great way to bring people together and celebrate everything our community has to offer.”

Ms Farrell said the Derwent Valley Rotary Club was committed to promoting community involvement and supporting local initiatives and remains on the look out for additional volunteers, sponsors and stall holders. “If you’re interested in getting involved, visit our Facebook pages – Derwent Valley Autumn Festival or Derwent Valley Rotary Club.

The Autumn Festival will be free, ticketed event. It will take place on Sunday, April 23, at the New Norfolk Esplanade from 10am-4pm.
