IT was most appropriate that Sharyn Wakefield’s retail award came to her in the post. While sorting the mail recently, the Westerway Roadhouse owner and local post office agent was surprised to find a parcel for herself from Australia Post.
Inside was a letter and a certificate advising that the business was the recipient of a retail reward acknowledging the Westerway Post Office as being in the top five in its network. Now about 15 months into running the roadhouse and post office, Sharyn has been steadily improving the range of products and services in the postal agency.
Recent additions include express post envelopes and satchels, and padded mailers in different sizes.
The Westerway Post Office also offers banking services for most banks, ANZ excluded.
