Public holiday surprise in High St

PEOPLE in the New Norfolk town centre had a treat this morning when local horse owner Lex Clark and his daughter-in-law Kirsty Bartlett-Clark went for a public holiday drive in their one-horsepower family buggy, with 12-year-old Shire horse Max providing the power.

The trio attracted plenty of attention as they made their way from home in Hamilton Rd, across the bridge and up to High St via Blair St, Richmond St and Circle St to pick up a coffee at Banjo’s, complete a lap of High St and then return home. Thanks to Lex Clark for this reminder of days gone by.
