Calling the NNHS class of 1973

THE search is on for more than 100 members of the New Norfolk High School class of 1973. A reunion of the graduating class of that year will be held on November 5, and more than 70 of those old scholars are already likely to attend the function at the New Norfolk Golf Club.

However, class member Mark Ashton said there were nearly 200 in the cohort when they started high school in 1970, so an effort is now under way to locate the missing 100 or so. “The 1970s was easily the best decade to grow up with the state’s economy firing on all cylinders and multiple job offerings on offer to any school leaver who was prepared to learn a trade or cadetship … and the music was sensational,” Mark said.

To contact the reunion organisers, join the New Norfolk High Leavers 1973 group on Facebook or send an email to markwashton@gmail.com
