Crash closes Bridgewater Bridge

SUNDAY UPDATE: Police are seeking witnesses or video of yesterday’s three-vehicle crash near the Bridgewater Bridge at Granton. They ask that anyone who saw the crash happen, or who has dash cam vision, to contact police on 131 444 or report to crimestopperstas.com.au referring to Crash #23002412.

6.15PM UPDATE: Police advise that the Granton accident scene is now clear and all lanes of traffic are now open.

EARLIER: Emergency services are currently attending a three vehicle crash on the Brooker Hwy at Granton, near the Bridgewater Bridge. As at 5pm, police advise that one lane to New Norfolk is currently blocked and traffic is being diverted along Main Rd, Austins Ferry.

The Bridgewater Bridge is closed to all south bound traffic, which is being diverted at the Gunn St/McDonalds roundabout. “It is requested that all southbound traffic divert along East Derwent Hwy during this time,” a police spokesperson said. No serious injuries were reported.
