Police seek witnesses to Wayatinah crash

POLICE are seeking witnesses to a collision that occurred on the Lyell Hwy near Westerway yesterday (April 25) around 3.30pm. The highway was closed for about four hours while emergency services responded to the scene, where a Toyota Landcruiser and a Holden Barina had collided.

“The driver of the Landcruiser was airlifted to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment and is in a stable condition,” a New Norfolk Police spokesman said. “The driver of the Barina sustained minor injuries.”

Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444.
