NNDFC game day notes – Round 6, May 13-14

NEW NORFOLK DISTRICT FOOTBALL CLUB

THIS weekend, our Reserves and Seniors travel to Pembroke Park, Sorell, on Saturday to play the in-form Sorell Eagles. Both teams will be in for a tough day after significant losses to Lindisfarne in the previous round.

The young men in our Senior side are finding it tough against older and stronger bodies but are gaining valuable experience and learning new skills as they commence their senior journey. The Colts have another bye this weekend.

The Senior Women are also on the road to Pembroke Park on Sunday to play the South East Suns. After a couple of tough games against top Division 2 sides, the game on Sunday should be an easier assignment and the Eagles will hopefully perform well as the new players become more accustomed to their style of play.

All supporters are encouraged to get along to the games and get behind all teams this weekend and give them much needed support.

NEXT WEEK’S GAMES
The roster for Round 7 on May 20 sees all four Eagles teams playing at home for the first time since Round 2 on April 15. It will be the battle of the valleys as New Norfolk takes on Huonville at Boyer Oval, with the Women playing at 8.50am, Colts at 10.30am, Reserves at 12.30pm and the Seniors at 2.30pm.
