NNDFC game day notes – Round 8, May 27

NEW NORFOLK DISTRICT FOOTBALL CLUB
CLUB NOTES – MAY 27

TODAY’S four games against Cygnet teams at Snug have been reduced to two due to illness and injuries severely depleting the senior and reserves teams. Read more about that here.

Despite those two games being postponed to a future date, the Senior Women and Colts will still play today (May 27) although the match times have changed.

The Lady Eagles will now line up against The Port Women at Snug Park at noon instead of 8.50am. The Port Women sit in seventh position on the SFLW Division 2 ladder, only percentage points below the Lady Eagles. Our team has a good chance of claiming another victory in what will be a tough but entertaining encounter.

The Colts will now take on Southern Storm at 1.45pm instead of 10.15am. The young team is finding it tough against older and stronger bodies. The game against Southern Storm, which has won only one game for the season, may be the young Eagles’ best opportunity for a win this season.

Note: Today’s games are incorrectly described as New Norfolk v Snug in the latest print edition of New Norfolk and Derwent Valley News. The games are to be played at Snug but Cygnet Football Club is the opponent.
