Scouts ready for return to New Norfolk

AFTER an absence of about seven years, the scouting movement will return to New Norfolk this week with a month of “come and try” nights for potential meetings. Starting this Wednesday, May 31, there will be four Wednesdays of “all-in” sessions for prospective Joeys, Cubs and Scouts.

Children aged 5-11 and their parents are invited to meet at the Scout Hall in Derwent Tce, just past The Valley Sports Bar, from 6-7.30pm. Those aged 11-15 are invited to join in from 6.30pm. After the first month, Cubs are likely to meet on Wednesdays and Scouts on Thursdays. The night for Joeys is still to be confirmed and additional leaders are welcome.

For more information, contact Matthew Smith by emailing agl.mtfaulkner@scoutstas.org.au or send a message through the New Norfolk Scouts Facebook page. An annual general meeting last week saw a management committee elected to support the leadership team.
