Feathers to fly in Mulga Clayton Cup

THE football career of New Norfolk’s Brendon “Mulga” Clayton will be honoured in the staging of the inaugural Mulga Clayton Cup at Abbotsfield Park football ground at Claremont tomorrow (Saturday, June 17).

The cup will be contested by the New Norfolk Eagles and the Claremont Magpies, celebrating the long connection Mulga Clayton had with both clubs during his playing career.

The game forms part of Round 10 of the SFL competition, which will see the reserves contest played at noon, the senior men at 2pm and the colts at 4.30pm. It is also Round 9 of the SFLW, which will see the New Norfolk and Claremont senior women doing battle at 10.20am.
